Rate Range : $16/hour

Description:

FORMULATION DEVELOPMENT BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION: Under limited supervision and general instructions by Laboratory Leader, prepares developmental pesticide formulations and
performs a variety analytical and physical tests. Records and analyzes test data obtained and prepares detailed reports on the observations and determinations
made. Improvises, assembles, and maintains testing equipment, as required, to meet laboratory or specific test needs. Assists in the modification and preparation
of test procedures, instructions, and the training of laboratory personnel, as required.

Reuirement:
Required: AAS Degree in Chemistry or related field with a minimum of 2 years of relevant chemistry laboratory experience. Intermediate level PC skills.

Desired: BS Degree in Chemistry with minimum of 1 year relevant chemistry laboratory experience in the formulation of pesticides. Specific ability to carry out analytical procedures such... View Full Description as rheometry, particle size analysis, light microscopy. Strong skills in MS Excel and skilled in
Lotus Notes. Should have strong analytical, organizational, teamwork and communication skills.
EQUIPMENT SKILLS: Desired Experience, 1 year - Preparation: Weighing, blending/mixing, wet and dry milling, coating, extrusion; Analysis: rheometry, titration, colorimetry, particle size analysis, physical chemical testing of liquid as well as dry formulated products. Mimimum Experience - 1-year laboratory bench experience in synthesis, formulation, prepartion, etc.

Other Requirement:
Specific experience in bench scale loboratory processes relevant to preparation of formulated agricultural chemical products. This type of experience may be gained directly or with related farmaceutical or consumer prouducts. Relevant but not directly related experience may be gained through work in chemical synthesis, particularly organic synthesis.
